Been away from timeshare trading for a while. I have membership at II and Sfx. Looking to plan a Disney trip dec 26 or 27
approx for 2021. Would love to get two
3 brs or three 2 br units.

So 1) which resorts should I look
for?
2)am I looking for the impossible?
3) please share your opinion on best strategy to do this.

We are new to Interval and SFX and not sure how to work the system yet. TIA

A few in S and VA, a single resort in NC, MD, PA, and UT, plus Jamaica and the Bahamas
I think getting a 3 BR or even 2 3BR weeks through II shouldn't be that difficult especially if you are ok with some of the Marriott's that are 3 BR only like Imperial Palms, as long as you have decent 2 BR units or good 1 BR units and start the ongoing search 18 months in advance but with the expectation of matching 6-12 months in advance. I don't know if there are any Monday check in's so you better chance would be to ask for that Sunday December 26, 2021 check in.

Mystic Dunes might be a viable option for you. We own a week 52 3-br lockoff and have exchanged into a 2br for the adjacent week fairly easily. I don't think we get any owners preference. I've never tried for a 3-br exchange, but it's worth a shot. I think 3 x 2br units might be doable if you start early. Mystic Dunes is very convenient to Disney.

I disagree - there have been plenty of 2BR marriotts sitting around for a couple weeks now in II for the week between xmas and nye.
I do think 3BR will be hard though....

For 2021?

Sorry my mistake - no the ones around are for 2020. But, even better. If there are "leftovers" hanging around now for 2020 with an early OGS (and enough trading power) they should be an easy get.

Will they put us close together if we got three units, or is it when you trade in, you get whatever you get in the II system? Amenities for small children? Any information you share would be appreciated.

Ah. Find memories.

It was so long ago that it has been gone from our History for a long, long time, but we took the extended fam to a 3- bedroom in the East Village at OLCC one Christmas week. 11 of us.

I believe that was the last time we took the extended fam anyhere.

I was thinking one of the larger resorts like orange lake or Vistana might be easier to get into? But I don’t see orange lake listed in II. But I’ve been out of timesharing a while. Is it still Orange Lake? Were they bought by somebody else?

OLCC is still OLCC, but years ago they rebranded under the name Holiday Inn Club Vacations, and started acquiring other resorts, to create a mini-system, which is headquartered at OLCC. Among others, they acquired Silverleaf.

I am with Holiday Inn Club Vacations, it is RCI trade.
Christmas is sold out every year, it would be a easy rent planning ahead 10 months starting any day of the week , any number of days.
I love to snag both Christmas / New Years in the same reservation 8, 9, and sometimes 10 days.
I can see a RCI trade a problem @ Christmas for consecutive units around the same days.

OldGuy is showing you what RCI shows right now for check in between Dec 20 - 22, 2019.

2br at former Orange Lake
3br at Florida Vacation Villas and Cypress Pointe

---
Are you looking for Dec 2020 (New Years 2021), or Dec 2021?

---
In II, I would request 3br units at:
MIP Marriott's Imperial Palms (all 3br units)
MGV, MGR Marriott's Grande Vista
MGK Marriott's Lakeshore Reserve

So if I’m trying II, what would these trade values from Rci
Mean? Higher numbers harder to trade?

nothing.
You would be able to get any of the resorts I mentioned.

The hardest will be Lakeshore. II may keep it under Marriott preference.

You are way early. Planning ahead is excellent - I only mean to say that it will be quite a while before you get a match.

There is one week at one resort in Orlando for 2021 right now.
I will post availability for Mystic Dunes at Christmas 2020 in Sightings shortly.

I posted it to show that it is not "Mission Impossible", that stuff can be available at OLCC Christmas Week.

Why did you quote my 2019 Sighting and then say that? That might confuse folks.

Anyway, I posted it to show that stuff is/can be available at OLCC Christmas Week.

Sorry, I’m new or very old returning. That was meant to go with a post above. Thank you for all your help.

Yes, I know I’m early. But officially when can I put in the request? I have to educate myself first and then implement the plan.

The furthest out I can submit a request today is April 5 - 12, 2021. So, I expect Dec 20, 2019 or so, you should be able to set up the first week.
