it sounds like it applies to anyone who gets a new Southwest CC. There are restrictions, of course.

I spotted this promotion too. Looks like a good deal. I had companion pass for the last two years and we made good use of it. I closed my southwest credit card about a year ago once my husband got his. I am going to see if I can apply for a new one and get the bonus. The 30000 points with the companion pass is certainly attractive.
