If you've been waiting to buy your airline tickets to Hawaii or your inter-island flights, you might want to check Southwest. The inter-island flights are $29 to $39 and you get 2 free bags. This savings takes some of the sting out of paying the high rental car costs!!

You can cancel your tickets with Southwest and get a refund, then re-book, or you can book the lower fare easily. I always cancel and then re-book. They give back the $5.60 flight segment fee.
Yesterday I just changed my original reservation from HNL to KOA $59 to $39. Southwest will credit the difference to each person and the credit is good for one year. Hope you can save $ for your future use!

Yes does expire, you must use it within one year and it can’t be transferred to anyone. Apply your credit confirmation on the travel fund when you purchase your next trip.

You don't need to cancel and re-book. You can simply change your reservation (to the same flight) and you will get the credit, including getting the $5.60 flight segment fee if you used miles.
Plus if you change instead of cancelling and you paid for Early Bird, you will retain that. I "think" if you cancel you lose Early Bird and don't get a refund. At least that is what happened when I've had to actually cancel a SW flight instead of just changing it.
oh ok I'm booked for September 2020 from the bulk deposit , just waiting for my second week to see which Island I'm hopping to. Hoping for Kauai this time. Love TUG
Thank you!
