I just checked and the missing small bedroom availability is showing in Dashboard. Get them while they are hot. I was able to book both of mine for July 2019.

But you received no explanation as to why this was a problem and now not a problem? Thank you T, for posting this.

No but I did reply to the last message which said they were checking with the appropriate department and told them that it seemed to be resolved but still asked for an explanation.

You're welcome, although credit really goes to tschwa2, all I did was send a few PMs to folks who had said they wanted one when I saw the post.

I wonder how many people complained to get the IT team to look at whatever problem there was with the inventory. I cannot even imagine why the same canned responses didn't open any eyes before this. All of last year, I mean all summer, I complained about inventory for this year, and to no avail. It was useless to say anything, even to Resolution Services (or whatever that department is called). They didn't listen and did not care.

So just now I talked to Yani in Resolution Services, a person who does not understand the rules of booking 12+ months in advance for deeded weeks. She said the only way you can book your deeded week over 12 months in advance is to spacebank with RCI and there is no such ability to book deeded weeks over a year out, unless you own a fixed week.

Go back to training, you nincompoop.

I am afraid the deeded rights we have to weeks is no longer going to be common knowledge at Vistana because they are going to deny, deny, deny, until we just believe this is no longer our right. What point is there to owning a deeded week 27, if I can only back it with RCI, which I would NEVER do anyway. And do they even let you do that? NO WAY. RCI assigns trading power at their discretion and you cannot say to Vistana, "Deposit my fixed week 27 into RCI and be sure to lock that off." That would be max trading power for sure, but it doesn't happen. That is just stupid.

This was the response I received after I told them that the availability seemed to be fixed.

Dear Tracey S. Thank you so much for your patience while we reviewed your concern regarding availability.

Please be advised, we were able to pinpoint an error in our system, which did not showed availability for the villa type you currently own. This error has now been fixed.

I am glad to learn you have successfully confirmed reservation xxxxx arriving on xxxx xx, 2019.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Have a great day!

Sincerely,

Ana Maria V.
E-Communications Specialist

I did ask several times last year and then gave up and deposited with II.

Yani clearly did not know what she was talking about. She denied a glitch and said owners must have cancelled weeks for the small 1 bedrooms to be there now.

No one ever tells you why? Just say it’s fixed .Glad you got what you wanted Rick and Cindy.
We stayed at Sheraton PGA Village in Port St Lucie last year. It was nice and we traded thru RCI. We don’t own a Vistana or Sheraton Timeshare.

Just a quick shout-out to Tracey and Cindy and Bizaro! I just booked a small 1BR today @SBP. Week of July-4th too. Hopefully it's strong enough to snag an NYC summer at SFX.

Stumbled across this thread. We have a Vistana Flex, but we have only used once since odd years, so I don't understand all of the ins and outs. Can someone explain why a small 1BR is a good thing to find? THanks.

That is on my bucket list. I never seem to be able to get my desired weeks with II. I will try RCI. I know for a fact that II holds inventory back, but I am not sure if they do it with Vistana Beach or PGA Village. I love the Sheratons. Vistana Village is my second favorite resort in Orlando. I love the units, which are very luxurious. Marriott's Cypress Harbour is always, always my favorite.

I wish you luck on getting something through SFX. It can be tough, but it's best to have someone you can communicate with. I have Nathan, and he is pretty helpful.

Glad you were able to get that small 1 bedroom. With Vistana, and formerly Starwood, I have a lot of battles, including this one issue. I cannot book online consistently, and that has been an issue. Others can grab inventory at midnight Eastern, and I get a message in red letters that says they are having technical difficulties, please call to book. I cannot call at midnight. :) And of course there is always the issue of booking my deeded week before the 12 month mark. That is a battle I have every year. It's frustrating.

Thanks again. This will be my first exchange with SFX and I hope it will be beginner's luck galore. My planned NYC travel is not until two years from now so SFX folks should have a lot of time to prove themselves. If not I will just cancel, try for MX instead, and get back with II in the future.

My deeded week is 32 at the plantation phase but I have not requested it yet at 12th month or more. It's on EOY so I don't have to fight with Vistana that often.

I’m not understanding this either. You have a SBP that your are going to use to get into Manhattan club.
Did you buy a SBP? Please explain how this works.

These are people who own small 1BR units in high season as deeded weeks. There was a software problem for a long time now (over a year) in which people who owned these weeks were told there was zero availability for high season and that "must be" because all other owners in this season had already called before them and booked their weeks. This was an implausible explanation, because for years there had been no problem booking these weeks and the TUGGERs in question are savvy timeshare owners who knew when the reservation window opened and they were right there, trying to book at the first available moment. There was only a problem specifically with the small 1BR high season weeks.

@rickandcindy23 has/had an additional problem in that she owns a specific development phase which allows her to book 2 years out (I think), but she still has to argue with Vistana every year and they tell her she can only book 1 year out.

In short: People want to be able to book the weeks they own, Vistana had an internal problem that prevented that from happening, and it took a LONG time (too long) and many people complaining for the problem to get fixed.

???

It sounds very straightforward. Schenrig owns SBP, finally was able to book, plans on depositing with SFX, and hopes to trade for Manhattan Club.

Thanks. That is a great explanation! I just wasn't sure what the benefits were, and that's good to know. And I can imagine super frustrating to be told that when you know it is very unlikely - especially if you have a 2-yr window even!
