Can anyone suggest a preferred location at Sheraton Kauai Villas? I can’t find specific building or room numbers. If anyone has been there we would appreciate a few comments. TIA

I think for most people the preferred building or room number is in another resort.

We stayed there a couple months ago and most of the villas still seemed to be under construction, but don't know for sure. I doubt we will go back, at least not until we can get a one bedroom. I tried every day for like six months and never saw one bedroom availability. The studio is very small and jam packed with the amenities so there is little storage room for you. We tend to eat in the room a lot as I am on a low sodium diet. To cook I had to put the pan over both burners. There is about a foot of countertop between the "stove" and the sink. The love seat was barely big enough for my wife and me. The bed was a California king on a regular king wood pedastal with lots of places to catch your toes. I'm surprised we got out of there without a broken toe. The pool was almost completely deserted as you are across the street from the ocean. We did enjoy it though as we player dominoes on the tables provided and felt almost like we had our own pool. We never did go over to the beach front pool, where all of the amenities would be available. We just enjoyed the solitude.

In the end, it was better than a standard hotel room but way below what we are used to with a villa. I guess if we really wanted to be in the Poipu area gain, we would probably stay there rather than somewhere else for dollars.

We're in Sheraton Poipu this week in a studio using remnant points from some unusual usage earlier this year. Here's my initial thoughts. The studio is good for two people (Bldg 8, 3rd floor) but the storage space for clothes and luggage is little-to-none. The bathroom is a hike from where the bed is. Otherwise I agree with earlier assessment. the main action is a bit of a hike from the villas. The walls/floors are a bit thin. A couple of times I could hear the couple either next door, or the floor above....er.....ahem....er........"jumping on the bed". The first floor is non-operational in all buildings. The view from the studio is quite good. The pool is deserted and I have seen maybe 5 people the last three days! Poipu is still a bit more active than Princeville. The weather has been great although the forecast said rain every day. I heard that the North shore has been drenched! There are many good restaurants within walking distance. I think it's still a good overall resort but will be great if they added a hot tub on this side of the street.

We loved the Sheraton Kauai. Surprisingly, we didn't mind crossing the street at all. The rooms are quite small though. We had a two bedroom on the top floor. We used the second bedroom as a closet. Would have felt crowded for even 4 people!

That makes for an expensive closet.

Did you get upgraded to a two bedroom? We are in Princeville but visited the Sheraton and talking to the sales people the villa side is still quiet as it is not part of Sheraton Flex and they are not selling them either.

We prefer Poipu over Princeville. We are going to stay at the Sheraton next time we are on the island.
