I just ignored and neglected the letters I received from the HOA for non-payment of maintenance fees and the letters from the attorneys citing a notice of default and the intent to sell. Upon reading these documents today, there is a clause that states that a non-judicial foreclosure procedure means that I will not be subject to a deficiency judgment or personal liability for the lien being foreclosed even if the sale of timeshare is insufficient to satisfy the amount of the lien. At this point, what's the worst that could happen?

Your credit score could drop 50-100 points, even if you aren’t personally liable for the lien or MF.

Better yet, post publicly.

There is a chance that nothing will be affected by this also. Anything that could occur may have already happened.
Do not post publicly! TS companies read this form. Posting publicly will only encourage them to report defaulting Ts owners to the credit card companies.

She was already in default long ago. She says there was also a lien. Credit card companies would have been aware previously.

The foreclosure process is just so the resort can take back title.

Vistana is apparently accepting deedbacks of many properties, including Sheraton Broadway Plantation.
Call them and see if they'll take it back. Tell them you don't want it/can't afford it anymore

The OP would have to come current in order to take advantage of this. At this point, it probably wouldn't make much sense.
