I didn’t click on the link or call the number. I don’t recall signing up for an SFX travel membership.

Is this a scam or phishing attempt to get my personal and credit card info

That is the correct link for the SFX Travel Store (different than the SFX Resorts site).

It depends on a few things.

1) Do you have (or HAD) an SFX membership? (When I say SFX I refer to the sfxresorts.com site where it's an exchange company similar to II/RCI in the sense that you deposit a timeshare week and get an exchange week with them).

2) Have you ever purchased a "vacation" package from the SFX Travel Store (aka: ICE)? They used to do these deals where you get like 2 cruises, or 2 resorts, or one of each for X dollars in your "membership". That is the auto-renewal.

I'm not 100% sure on this one, so bear with me:
IF #1 is true, then it's entirely possible this email is true/correct. That's the price of the diamond membership I believe. For some reason, I've actually got two SFX account numbers, but one is the EXCHANGE side (SFX Resorts) and one is for the Travel Store side (I'd bought a vacation package eons ago), and they can't merge the accounts, so when I "renew" I have to use the link on the Travel Store one (the sfxlifestyle link) and it takes a few days to update my regular SFX account.

If #1 and #2 are "no", then I'd question how the email went out, but I can't imagine they just randomly email (they have a list of past clients).

if #1, then I'd just call the SFX resorts number (800.739.9969) and see if that's the correct way you should be renewing your membership (if you want to do so). "normally" you would use the sfxresorts.com site to renew.

If it were me, I’d call in order to ensure it isn’t automatically renewed and charged. ICE runs travel stores for SFX, RCI, Vidanta and probably more that I don’t know of. You don’t really need to belong to more than one as the costs are essentially the same throughout.

Thanks. I did call. I was told I had a gold membership with SFX because I owned a Mayan property. Said nope, didn’t own one. I must have signed up for the free SFX at one point. They said they did not have a credit card on file and they would take me off their membership list.

I do have gold membership with SFX Resorts and I just called today to make sure my credit card won't get charged automatically at the end of the month. The SFX guy who picked up my call (I have his name but won't post it here lest he has his hand on my active search requests and they go nowhere, not that I'm hopeful now anyway) was nice in the beginning but became increasingly rude when I made it clear I won't pay for an upgraded membership. He kinda reiterated the benefits of an upgraded membership more than 2x.
