We have a 3 room unit reserved at HGVC Seaworld in December. Any specific units, or buildings we should request? I have never been on site and prefer to be closer to the action/activities for the kids.

Hamilton, St George and Pembroke buildings, likely in that order are the closest buildings. Sommerset is also close but on the other side of the main building. See the resort map in the sticky up above. If you have the PH you will be in Hamilton or Sommerset.

You can probably tell this by the pictures, but the pool at Sea World is a step below some of the other Orlando properties. Don't get me wrong, it's still nice and it is heated for year round use, but it is missing the water slide and zero entry features found at Parc Soleil (and Las Palmeras?).

Our family doesn't care as much about location at Sea World simply because we don't use the pool as much as we do at the other Orlando resorts. The rooms at Sea World are great, though, and the location is fantastic if you're visiting SW. It's also the easiest to get to when coming back from a Disney park.
