Ok - I feel really stupid & I don't even know if this is where I post this.

Anyway - I paid WWV World Wide Vacations to get discounted timeshare travel in exchange for sitting through the presentations while on vacation. The prices for the travel - if as promised, were ok. I am now worrying if they actually deliver! I can handle sitting through the presentations, that is not really the issue.

An example: I am supposed to get 6 nights @ Villa Del Palmar in Cancun for $300 for 2 people, all inclusive.

The "bundled package" I guess you could call it included trips to Morritts Tortuga in the Cayman Islands (5 nights), Villas Sol in Costa Rica (4 nights) as well as a few other shorter, domestic Hilton vacations. I paid :wall:$400 for the bundle. Each vacation has a "at the time of booking" cost. Either $200 or $300. No costs for the domestic ones.

How worried should I be? Please help. I feel really stupid right now.

The history of "vacation clubs" like this is not good. IF you can stop the purchase. If you can't then you'll have to try to use as best you can. It's almost guaranteed that obtaining trips/locations you desire at the times you want are slim to none - especially at the low prices they tempted you in with.

Get out if you can.

Thank you for the reply! Much appreciated.

I can't get out, however, at least I did not pay more than I can afford to lose

I did call both their Customer Service and Reservation phone numbers and got right through. I asked a bunch of questions of several different people & at least I do feel slightly better.

I am not totally new to Timeshares (hence the name DVC Daisy LOL), so I do kinda know a tiny bit. Like.....always research resales!!! NEVER purchase onsite, EVER, etc. I don't know why I purchased this  but I am going to see if I can now at least work it to my advantage :)

One thing I did find out in my research is that they do make the reservations themselves, not pass you off to a travel agency. That is good. Also, which is the GIANT RELEIF for me, is that your confirmation comes directly from the resort. Whew.

SO - I will try it out & if it is helpful (I noticed my post was responded to by a moderator) I can report back here how it goes.

Any other input is very welcome! Thank you. :)
