Sapphire Resorts/Geo Vacation/Star point

I bought into this a few years ago and have never been able to take a single vacation. Have 2.5 year left on the mortgage (which isn't listed on my credit report). Maintenance fees are ridiculous. Can't sell, no one wants it even for a $1. Charitable organisations don't want it either. Company refusing to buy it back. I'm seriously thinking of walking away and not paying the MF nor mortgage because even now I'm putting it on my credit card and falling deeper and deeper into debt.

Has anyone dealt with this company? I don't seem to be able to find any threads about this particular company and if anyone walked away and what consequences they faced.

In the (generally quite lame) RedWeek.com discussion forums, there have been numerous posts by unhappy campers regarding a "Sapphire" entity. I don't know if it's the same entity, but the "never been able to obtain a single vacation" theme is certainly common. Maybe check out those RW posts to see if you can glean anything further from them?
