You could pay the 2018 MFs for the new owner as a gift instead of giving cash (using 2017 MFs as an agreed value). The reason I am suggesting this, if the new owners CLAIM they did not agree to OWN that week and the resort REVERSEs or disallows the transfer, you would at least have the 2018 MFs paid for.

This is a good point. A resort reversing a transfer can happen. I had one reversed by Diamond 11 months after I contracted to buy it.

Good Point! Thanks. Original thought was that it might be appealing to some buyers to have money in their pocket rather than the maintenance fee paid. I do get your point.
Questions: I don't understand how the resort management could reverse or disallow the deed transfer once it has been legally completed and recorded. Isn't it my deed to sell? What right do they have to disallow a legal deed transfer?

Many thanks, but I don't understand how the resort management can do this once a legal deed transfer has taken place. If you don;t mind my asking, on what grounds did the resort management reverse the deed transfer?
