Resale point owner: how to request and ocean view room - is that possible?

I am in the process of purchasing resale points from a tug ad... I have been doing ton of research and you guys have been extremely helpful and informative. Thank you!

Today's question is, as a non VIP, resale point owner, can how can I request an ocean view upgrade. is that even possible?

If it’s listed as an upgrade meaning the Oceanview takes more points it’ll be tough unless it’s off season.
You can always call the resort a couple weeks ahead of time & ask, all they can say is no
Maybe offer a little incentive at checkin will help

Some of the resorts (Oceanside and Destin come to mind) have the
view folded into the room properties, and priced accordingly. E.g.:

In general you cannot request an upgrade. VIPs have paid for that privilege, and they don’t want to make it look like they are giving away VIP privileges. However, as Braindead said, it doesn’t hurt to ask the resort. They will properly try to accommodate, but might not do it, until the day of checkin. The reason being, is if there is only one or two three bedrooms left, any one could book those right up until the day of check in. As Braindead said, low season will probably be the only time a resort will do this.
