I have a question for the experts. I made 3 reservations the week of Memorial Day, end of May, and now my sister is unable to travel with us. I have more options than I know what to do with, (a story for another day) and I want to see if I could rent this unit. I will be at the resort at the same time, is it possible to just check it in myself, and then add whomever I rent it to name on the room at the time of checkin? Would this avoid the rental fee for me and the taxes for them? Thoughts?

Is this a home resort rez? Technically I don't think you can rent out a SO rez.

This is the problem: Unless this is a friend or a relative, a renter will want an official guest confirmation from the resort in their name, when they rent the reservation from you. It would be foolish for a stranger to fly to Mexico, and trust you to check them in under your name, with no documentation.

Also - this is not a strong rental date.

We are trading into Lagunamar through interval in a studio. We just added another studio to bring another couple. We will all be arriving together. Does anyone know if we need a guest certificate for our friends. If we all check in together I'm thinking not but want to be sure

You don't, as long as you check-in with your friends, or for them.
