I have rented a couple of RedWeek timeshares with no problem. This week I tried to rent one and the owner used TimeshareRentals.com to handle the contract and reservation. Nick, at Timeshare Rentals, then quoted a price that was $150.00 higher than on RedWeek. When I repeated the RedWeek price and said it should stay the same, he said that was the price on their website and they'd check if they could make the change and call me back. They never did.

Is this usual?

What's the point of RedWeek listing a rental price that's not really the rental price???

Wow. The price should be the price as listed.
I do see some ads where they list multiple dates but tell you to inquire about pricing .

What is timesharerentals.com? What relationship do they have with Redweek? That's weird. If you asked for escrow, then you should pay for that.

The owner used Timeshare Rentals to handle things after I saw the week on RedWeek and contacted her. This was all last week, so I didn't ask for an escrow.

I wanted to update what happened: I had contacted RedWeek to file a complaint before I posted here. They said changing the price was against their policy. They checked it out and admonished the owner for her behavior, to protect future renters. Hopefully it won't happen again.

I am assuming that you got your money back for the bogus charges, right?

There were no charges - I asked for the reservation and when I wouldn't pay more than the listed price, they gave it to someone else and I was not charged.
