RCI properties not visible on HGVC portal

I entered RCI via the HGVC portal and searched for #3622 for Hacienda Del Mar and it does not show up. Are HGVC participants not able to access the full RCI portfolio? Do we have to call this in?

If this is not visible but available, it makes me wonder about other properties on RCI.

Not all RCI properties are available through the hgvc portal. It seems that not all properties qualify and therefore they are not bookable.

If that is because the left out resorts don't have the expected quality I don't know.

From what i have heard the portal only includes the RCI properties that meet certain HGVC standards. I believe you can still book the other resorts, but have to go though the HGVC call center, and they will book it for you.

Wow! That is the first time that I have heard that HGVC owners don't have ability to access to the complete RCI resort portfolio. If this is true, this is an HGVC sales lie because the only resorts I could see were lower quality resorts.

Look at Mid Atlantic for the next 2 years- how many different resorts do you see available in that area? I picked this area because I am familiar with the resorts and know there are some dumps that you might be blocked from seeing.

35 listed in Mid-Atlantic; 9 in Los Cabos Area (Hacienda Del Mar is not one of them, even though it is a Gold Crown Resort.)

I have 53 in the Mid-Atlantic and 30 in Los Cabos. I think Hilton will take resorts off their exchange list even if it is gold crown if they have enough owners who exchange in and then complain about the exchange.

I do think that you could call HGVC and get them to waive the restriction, but they will NOT allow you to come back and complain about the property then. I think others have done that before.

They just wanted HGVC members to be happy with their exchanges, and not have a lower quality resort offered.

Call, I know others have gotten around it.

While this may not necessarily answer your question, I know that SFX has Hacienda del Mar from time to time, so you may be able to exchange that way.

At least I've gotten it via SFX a few times for my friends for the Los Cabos location.

Thanks, this info is really helpful. I am fine if I can call and reserve a property if needed. It makes me feel better that HGVC has instituted a quality filter based on member negative experiences vs. limiting access to save $$$. Just surprised that a property can be a gold crown and is not included in the system, however, someone must have had a significantly less than optimal experience.
