I am looking to buy a timeshare. We travel at least 3 weeks a year, but we want to go all over the world not just the same place every year. I found an add online :

https://www.timeshare-marketplace.com/timeshare-resales/pure-points/

This was explained to me as I am paying for the access to points and then I have to buy the points at 1.5 cents per point when I want to use them. I can cancel at any time and dont have to pay MF fees because it is in the membership fee and you are buying the points when you use them. I was told for the type of travel we want to do this would be the best option.

I have also looked in to buying a points membership with a timeshare company like marriott but I am not sure what options they really have for traveling all over and how much the costs to use the II Network would be or if another program like wyndham is better that uses RCI. Can someone really help that has a lot of experience.

What is the availability of the different places you want to go. These types of vacation memberships come up and many times they are mud season intervals that no one else wants. I looked at their HGVC resale listings (I know that market a little) and they are very high. They include Grand Pacific Palisades that needs to be "Hiltonized" to use points along with a couple of Elara listings that have no points advertised (probable Westgate units) in their HGVC listings. The others are very high and can be had on more known places much cheaper. I know you aren't looking at HGVC, but those prices would make me think that the place isn't on the up and up. I would tread very carefully if I were you.
