Hello Tuggers,

I am purchasing a Marriott Grand Chateau 2 bedroom lock-off. I have never exchanged in Interval. I am not clear on doing an On Going Search (OGS) and what kind of room I may receive.

It is my understanding that if you use a studio for an OGS, you will get a studio as your exchange. Is this correct? Utilizing an OGS, can this studio be upgraded to a one or two bedroom by paying the upgrade fee?

Do you have to pay an upgrade fee if you do an Open Inventory Search (OIS) with a studio and the exchange is for a one or two bedroom?

Thanks for your help.

When you set up a request with your studio, the default is that you will accept a studio. If you authorize an upsize fee, then you may indicate that you wish to accept a larger unit. Your unit still has to have the trading power required to get the larger unit.

You will pay the upsize fee no matter whether you set up an ongoing search or confirm a trade in open inventory. The only exception is during flexchange, which is 59 days or fewer before check-in date.

I have an add-on question regarding Marriott's Grand Chateau. What week(s) are considered high demand in Las Vegas?
