When I travel for work, which I do normally one big trip per year, my company will reimburse for travel and direct expenses. They give you the choice of actual cost vs per diem for food but will only do direct cost for air or accommodations. I'm curious as to how the cost is listed in the confirmation for such items when you use the Chase Ultimate Reward Points, is it as a $$$ amount or # of points. While they could do per diem for lodging, they don't which makes using my points or timeshares for reimbursable expenses potentially more costly to me. Since I get a yearly stipend I often do use non reimbursable options if they're favorable and forego the reimbursement if I'll use the total amount anyway, maybe on a second such trip, but the next couple of years I likely won't use the total otherwise.

I strongly suspect we would not reimburse the use of non-cash options.
Thanks, if it lists it other than as a direct cost that is the case and was my suspicion as well but I wanted to be sure.
