Question about selling HGVC back to Hilton

Hello all,

We loved our HGVC points for a while, but with three young kids now there isn't a lot of travel in our near future. I'm looking to sell back to Hilton for their admittedly low prices - but something is better than nothing. I have 4800 points at South Beach and 4800 points at Tuscany. Hilton has gotten back to me with info on what they will pay to buy the points back. My question - I banked 2016 forward into this year and haven't used any points from 2017. Can I use these points now before the sale without jeopardizing the sale or do I have to sell the 'year' back to Hilton with full/unused points for 2017?

Have you asked HGVC directly, since it is actually HGVC with whom your "transaction" will potentially be conducted?

You will need to check with them. It's rare that they will buy your contracts back at all. Personally, I wouldn't jinx it.

I have, but their response time is agonizingly slow. Each time a respond to a message from them I get an autoresponder saying they will get back to me within 21 business days... If I have to wait I rekon I will, was just hoping from some knowlege from the pros!

Are you aware that TUG has a HGVC-specific forum? Your inquiry might be more likely (and sooner) seen and responded to by the HGVC "pros" you seek if posted there instead. Maybe a moderator will see your post and move it there for you.
