Just got back from our yearly 2 week trip to Aruba and we've decided to purchase another Surf Club OF week resale.

What is the etiquette on working with multiple brokers? I would like to approach the 2 that were involved with our purchase 2 years ago...the one we used and the one representing the sellers. Both are highly recommended by TUGgers. We plan on going in with a low number. TIA.

Im a licensed real estate agent in Florida

Usually a buyers broker is paid by the broker representing the seller. ie the seller has agreed to pay their broker when the property sells and their broker agrees to pay the buyers broker

Anything however can be negotiated

I suggest that you pick one broker to deal with or better yet go back to your buyers broker and ask them to try to buy through the same sellers broker

I don't know how timeshare resales work. My thought is that I could get a lower price by going directly to the seller thereby avoiding them having to pay a buyer's broker rather than me working through a buyer's agent.

I have done some on-line research and contacted the seller's agent on 2 ads.

I usually start with one. If that doesn't go well, I will contact another and tell them that I've been working with xxxx, but haven't found anything. Of course, they only get paid when they close the sale.

I've already received an e-mail in response to one of my offers. They will be contacting the seller with my offer. Interestingly, it is the same company that was the seller's agent on my previous purchase, but a different agent.
