When I look at available points under the Ownership tab for 01JAN18 thru 31DEC18, my available points total is 975,300 with HK of 1115. But when I looked to book a unit in Sept 2018, while booking it showed only 843,800 points available and HK of 956. Any idea why these numbers don't match (agree with each other?)

Look at all of your points buckets. Do you have a negative points bucket ?
Are all of your use years aligned?

Play with points calculator. Select different timeframes to try and figure out when less points are available.

Logic would seem to indicate that there is an overlapping period with negative points.

When the conversion to the new system occurred in May of 2017 I had multiple buckets of points appear, essentially breaking out all my credit pool periods. They were inaccurate, some showed negative points balances that were offset by other positive points balances, as well as balances that were just plain wrong. It resulted in current year points being inaccurate. You might have a similar situation with negative points in one of the "buckets" although it would seem unlikely that it hadn't been recognised in the months since the conversion.

Anyway, this is one possible explanation.

Thanks. My use years (four contracts) were all aligned to Dec 31 back in May. When I did as you all suggested, I saw that I show negative 106,500 points from 7/1/17 thru 6/30/18, and negative 131,500 points from 10/1/17 thru 9/30/18. But 975,300 points from 1/1/18 thru 12/31/18. I have no idea how these numbers are figured or make sense, but I will just have to accept the fact that this is the way it is...

My Point Calculator totals and the number of points actually available to make a reservation have been Very Different since the New Res System came was launched last May

For most of the last half of 2017, the Calculator showed I had about 110K more points than the reservation window showed.

I took the inconsistency as just a continuation of the 'accounting problem' the old system had since 2015.... when I was one of the little fish caught up in the "Suspension Lock-out Round-up" in the fall of 2015.

In late 2017, I started to get the alerts that I had in excess of 110K points that were about to expire on 12/31/17 ... so I finally called into Reservations and they couldn't find the missing points either..... The agent offered to do an audit, and I declined fearing that the "cure" might be worse than the disease.

I was hoping 2018 would resolve the issue .... and it almost has, I think. The Calculator shows I have 11K more points than the reservation widow does... That's close enough for "Wyndham Work" as far as I am concerned.

But I fear the potential for increased discrepancy may exist because I have Multiple "Current Use Year" end dates since I had pooled points thru 2019 under the old system ..... and that may have been part of the confusion in the accounting problem Wyndham had from 2015-2017.

I just hope whatever the problem was, that it doesn't happen anymore.
