Got a cold call from a company called THL. I was told that they work with the PGA and want basically points and they would use Hilton units for their people staying at golf events. If you gave 1400 you would get $1500. He said it is done as if you were sending a guest, which is also illegal to do unless it is the unit you actually own.

I don't trust it and it sounds like a scam and am not interested, but was wondering if they contacted others and also wonder how they got my number and know I am a Hilton owner.

The return phone number was 866-418-0607.

This is the phone number for timesharehotlist."con" - not the PGA.

Yes, THL, which I guess stands for timeshare hot list said they represent the PGA.

Very shady!

I wonder if they ever really buy/sell/rent anything. I just looked at what they are asking for Grand Pacific Palisades. I can buy the same from the developer for less money. :hysterical:

I got a call from THL last night, and the rep babbled on and on for at least 10 minutes. I let him talk just to see how long he would vomit lies upon me. He actually insulted me a bit and said he couldn't believe I'd never heard of his company before, and that I "need to get on my computer" so he could give me a link to a news story where THL was mentioned.
What a putz.

I wonder if they ever really buy/sell/rent anything

This is from their disclosures:

THL does not provide or engage in real estate broker services. Because THL does not provide real estate services, THL has itself sold zero (0) timeshare Properties. Additionally, THL clients have offline sales generated by offers directly to the owner, THL is unaware of the exact percentage of offers to sales.THL has no knowledge regarding the average success rate of listings to sales because THL is not involved in any negotiations relative to the sale, rental, closing or procurement of buyers of timeshare interests. There is no guarantee that any particular timeshare interest can be rented or sold at any particular price or within any particular time.

They have sold zero timeshares because they are an advertising site and nothing more. Of course them saying they work with the PGA and want to pay you for the rentals are simply LIES they are spewing in the hopes that you give them your credit card.
