Hello all
My wife and I returned from from a short stay at HGVC I drive. We really enjoyed our stay and were very happy with the facility. As we we were checking in the receptionist (I don't recall her official title) was a little confused with our membership status (we're new owners with HGVC having bought resale at South Beach last summer).
Once we were checked in, she said it would be a good idea to go to a owners meeting to be "informed about what was going on in HGVC". Reluctanly we agreed with the reassurance it was not a sales meeting, and were promised a gift just for attending.
Fast forward to our appointment at the Parc Soliel. Arrived on the fourth floor, met by a nice gentleman and the first thing he asks is "do you know why your here", we said "owners meeting", he says ,no, this is a sales meeting! We explain we are brand new owners and have no intention of buying more.
Fast forward some more, sales man says just a minute and goes away, sales manager comes back and says that we were not supposed to be there.
We collected our gift and got on with our vacation.

It was our choice each one valued at about $100. Discounted tickects to alot of the attractions in Orlando, or various gift cards or amex card also valued at $100 or 20,000 Hilton Honors points. I'm not recalling all of the items but that is most of them.

Nice! We fell for that once and had our ears boxed for 2 hours.
We swore that no "gift" was worth the loss of time and sanity.
