I had gotten a notice a few months back regarding my timeshare's annual owner's meeting. I know that in other organizations like NGOs and even Corporate boards, bringing new board members could translate to a change to the direction of the organization.

Has anyone had experience in joining a timeshare board? What change was achieved?

The proxy allows me to vote for a voting member. Which makes me wonder, if a member of TUG wanted to run for the board, I might vote for them! :)

Any owners of Anderson Ocean Club at Myrtle Beach interested in joining the board? Rhetorical question for now. I'll ask again early next year! Just wanted the idea to marinate.

There are TUG members who have served on HOA's. However...

Few, if any, independent owners, are elected to HGVC HOA boards.
Typically, HGVC uses their own inventory and officers to control them.

You'd find it rather frustrating, becuz, even if elected, these boards
have virtually no influence over management (HGVC).
