I believe that Limited Editions through Ovations requires you to divest of all your contracts, but ovations can be done on a contract by contract. In fact if you ask about Ovations and have resale there is a chance that there are contracts they will not take back through ovations.

We just started the process. When I spoke with them last week, they said we did not have to do all of our contracts (though we have decided to).

I am doing only one of mine, and they accepted that with no questions.

Just to clarify, whether or not they will take it back has nothing to do with its resale status. There are some retail contracts they won’t take back either. What they will take varies from week to week. Skipper Scooby posted a file with a list of Limited edition resorts in a tug thread. I included the link below. Since limited edition is the program that gives you three years worth of points, it stands to reason these contracts are eligible to give back. Resale does not qualify for Limited edition, but that doesn’t mean your contract cannot be given back to Wyndham through Ovations. Biannual contracts do not qualify for limited edition, even if it was bought retail.

Hmm .. I have one contract I would like to divest but plan on keeping all the rest 'forever' .. with my daughter deciding if she wants them when we die.

Does giving one back through ovations change our status in any other way? I would not want to disturb our VIP status with the way our other contracts stack up.

I also thought I saw where after doing ovations you won't be sold to or invited to updates .. might be a good thing but just want to know.

If you give all contracts back to Wyndham, you will be barred from buying more points. They even go as far as to deny resale transfers. I spoke to a reseller who said Wyndham declined a few transfers because they went through Ovations. I called Ovations and asked about it. I told him I might turn one in, but want to keep others. I asked if I would be able to buy more points later. He said yes because with the other contracts, I’m still a Wyndham owner. For those that give up all their contracts, they are no longer owners and can no longer buy Wyndham points. That’s why they are not asked to attend any more updates. I would confirm that with the Ovations person you speak to. It’s not uncommon to get two different answers from two different people.
