During our recent stay on Oahu, we did this rainforest kayaking operated by Active Oahu Tours. Because of a permit issue, the tour became guided to self-guided and we were offered refund or switch to other activities. But we decided to do it.
We received kayaks at a gathering place and drove one mile to Kahana State Park. To load kayaks on the car roof, you will get some pads and binding tapes. To prepare kayaks, you just put seats. Kayak is a little heavy but manageable. You will carry it about 60 yards to the starting point.
If you are a outdoor-oriented person, I do recommend this kayaking. You can feel the Hawaiian nature and receive mana there. If you like, please watch the 2 min video.
