We are currently staying at Marriott Residence Inn / New Rochelle - Westchester NY
( PS - M Res. Inn has free parking / is also close to New Roch. Metro North stop)
( Boxing Day - New Year’s eve 2017 )

Took adult sons to the Dyer Ave elevated / “subway “ stop yesterday
( final stop on IRT - 5 Train line weekdays / 2 Train on weekends )

Easy to find on the map and a 12 minute drive from our hotel .

My first read of the title was wrong -- I was puzzled by "nice NYC neighborhood." I get it! It is the MAPS of NYC neighborhoods that are nice!

I made the same mistake initially. Went to the link to find the "nice" NYC neighbourhoods. But the maps are definitely nice and will be very useful for planning future trips. Thanks to the OP for posting.
