There was a lot of concern and dissatisfaction initially with the HGVC website which replaced the old two websites.

It seems that there have been continual fixes with the addition of the visual across available weeks and other fixes.

Although some glitches still exist. I am curious as to what everyone thinks about the new website?

I made a number of initial comments about the reservation and changing reservation features of the new website. They seem to have corrected most of them. I haven't booked or changed any reservation using points in a number of months so I don't know if they are totally corrected.

Overall happy but waiting patiently for the day that you can see what's available and book affiliates without calling.

Same for me. I made several changeable reservations in 2016 for my 2017 stay but I really haven’t played with the system since.

Did they provide online reservation access to some of the affiliates?

You can reserve some of the FA Mexico resorts online and the Carlsbad affiliates.

I give the designers an "D" - too gaudy and fluffy.
Apparently, logic and ease of use were not the goals.
But if you hunt long enuff you can find what you need.
And it works (except when it doesn't).

Admittedly I don't use the reservation system much, but when I was just idly looking, navigation between destination areas and resorts was not intuitive, (and I've worked with several information systems). Still it's better than when the new system first came online. At least you can see availability for one resort across weeks in one view. Wish Vistana had this on their booking system.

Still dont have the ability to see 30 day/open season availability for affiliates on the Gulf Coast. Despite their lies about bringing this feature. They've buried it and hoped we've forgotten. Major major detractor and I ring them up with zeros on every customer sat survey until they bring this feature back.

I see that they still haven't fixed the problem when you try and change a reservation then the system still doesn't show the current days in your reservation, so you are effectively unable to add or remove a single day to your reservation without call member services.

Just putting it out there again...more HGVC broken promises about bringing back the ability to see open season availability for affiliates in the next 30 days. They had this in Classic, and took it away with the new system. A lot of double-speak about working on initiatives and features....and another year passes without this feature. By the looks of it, all of the devaulations and fee increases are resulting in HGVC point packages coming way down in value on resale. Ugh.

Affiliate availability is so needed. I can’t imagine it being so hard to link the affiliates for open season and regular exchanges. I wonder if they just don’t want us to realize the limited availability.

New website is quite a bit better then the prior incarnations...well...except for the fact that they now separate out the W 57th points from the low brow points :)

Cheers.

HGVC Club members are still unable to see or reserve anything at Affiliates in Florida. In order to do this, we have to call the 800 number and ask what is available and then go from there with a substantially higher reservation fee since we are using the call center. Also, available inventory is constantly changing and the only way to find out is to keep calling back.

Also, the older websites including the present one before they "upgraded" it, would allow affiliate owners to see the maintenance fees that they owe. We also could see the posting of the payments for the maintenance fees when they received them. I asked when this would be restored and pretty much was told "no plans to bring it back".

Online = $65. Phone Call = $80.
Not a whole lot higher, unless you make multiple phone bookings... (then it adds up).
This year, we have 1 call-in booking, 4 online bookings +1 RCI booking - it all adds up.
