For folks wondering if they should buy into DVC now or wait, I just read an interesting article in DVCnews.com. You can draw your own conclusions.

Strong demand for Disney Vacation Club points has prompted a new resort addition about every 2.5-3 years. Copper Creek Villas & Cabins opened to guests in July 2017. Early sales returns suggest that property could be sold out by the first quarter of calendar year 2020. Resort sizes, point charts and pricing can play a significant role in the sell-out period for any destination. But recent patterns suggest DVC would need to have a follow-up to Riviera in place no later than 2022.

There are some permits that have been pulled for work at the old River County site. This has been long rumored to be a DVC Resort location.

At some point, I would also expect Contemporary 2.

There are lots of leaks about information at the time of the original rumor including plans and location. It would make sense as a relatively easy option to be a SSR/OKW type or resorts, more of a semi luxury resort in a moderate location. I'm sure they'd do a BLT #2 if they can but there's some question whether the land would support the structure, hopefully it will. It'd likely make them quite a bit more profit than a FW option would.

Here's some interesting rumors from DisneyLists.com. It sounds like it would be a great plan. I know it's all speculation but I think it would be great if DVC implemented this plan. I would prefer to see a new concept in the Magic Kingdom area instead of an extension of the Contemporary Hotel or Fort Wilderness (as the latest rumors seem to indicate). We saw the Aladdin musical last year and loved it. An Arabian resort with an Aladdin theme would be super cool!

The Magic Kingdom resort area consists of the Grand Floridian Resort, Polynesian Village Resort, Contemporary Resort, Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. When the concepts for the Polynesian Village and Contemporary Resorts were planned, 4 different resorts were originally planned for the area. The resorts where to be Disney’s Asian Resort, Disney’s Venetian Resort, Disney’s Persian Resort and Disney’s Mediterranean Resort. The resorts would have also been on the monorail track. It would be awesome if they considered adding another resort to the most popular area at Disney World. We know they would have each been amazing deluxe resorts!
