USVI is a pretty dangerous place to drive. That's a fact. Sorry you don't like the RC beach. We happen to love it and consider it the best part of staying on ST.

If you want to run all over ST going around beaches, then why spend so much to stay at RC? To each his own, I guess.

JimF was referring to the beach on the timeshare side which is very rocky and grassy. I think the beach at the hotel is much better and love it. We also really like the recreational stuff available at the property (hobie cat, paddleboards, etc). It's a great property and I can't wait to go back!

Best,

Greg

I was born to drive left from the outside lane position.

I only have one rule for passengers - No Screaming! But, chanting Stay Left is okay. ;)

Take a taxi if it makes you nervous.
Otherwise... recommend Amalie Car Rental. They even have service on STJ in rare event if needing it. Their cars are brand new and in great condition, and their service is outstanding.

I am sure RC beach is great, however the northside beaches on STJ are not to be missed. Also, Maghens Bay on STT.
That is if you like those type of things.

Need suggestions for excursions and restaurants please. We're going the 2nd week of June. Staying at Ritz Carlton - first time! We're going with our 2 (just out of college) children. Any suggestions are helpful - Thanks in advance.

Like to snorkel and sail for a day? Call September Jazzborne at (340) 244-0589 TropicalSailingGetaway.com. She and the Captain were great. The boat is affordable to share but with 4 adults you can have the whole boat to yourself for a good price too. Great sailing, best and choice of snorkel spots. They know the area and it’s history and are very sociable.
