I've only been there in summer but do know the free shuttle is excellent from nearly everywhere in Vail- and you don't need to worry about parking in the garage at the foot of Vail Mountain. Check out Marriott Streamside; there is also lodging right at the base of some of the lifts; don't know if they are timeshare units.

We own at Eagle Point in Vail and Falcon Point in Avon (8 miles down the Interstate from Vail) and really like them. They are affordable resorts that are nice but not luxurious with good management and very helpful and friendly staff.

As much as I complain that the Marriott Streamside in Vail is not like any other Marriott I've been to (in a bad way); I'd take another ski exchange there in a second. It's a pretty good location and there just aren't a lot of timeshares available in Vail. I'd even take the lower-rated VRI managed Streamside at Vail (same property) due to it's good location and hot tub amenities.
