This is not the first time the Federal Police have displaced the local police. But probably the largest city it has happened. I believe they have also done this in Zihuatanejo last year.

Good. The biggest problem is the police in Mexico do not earn much. About $350.00 a month. It would solve alot of problems if the entire North American Continent had a similar pay scale regarding a minimum wage.

I guess the bad guys were paying more money than the Acapulco, Mexico government.
Plus, the money was tax free and probably in American dollars.
