Any hints on navigating LAX when flying from Sacramento to PV with transfer at LAX? We usually fly SW but decided to use Delta this time. A friend told us that LAX is a nightmare so any info.to ease our travel between terminals and three hour layover would be appreciated.

You would probably get more help on this question in another forum since this has nothing to do with Mexico or PVR.

Ascertain that your flights arrive and depart from Deltas terminal. I recall that some depart from the Tom Bradley International Terminal, which would entail schlepping yourselves & carry-ons to the curb, boarding a bus to another terminal (or walking), then another trip through security. Major PITA to me.

At LAX, Delta flies in & out of Terminal 2, 3 & TBIT.

Sacramento (SMF) probably flies into Terminal 2 at LAX.

The flight to PVR in Mexico will probably be out of Terminal 3.

Shuttle bus at Terminal 2 gate goes to Terminal 3 directly to the gates (no security to go through). Pretty easy to navigate.

There is a Delta Sky Club in Terminal 2 & 3 to relax in during your layover.

Thanks for the info. Finally found some info indicating that Delta runs a shuttle between Terminal 2 & 3. Now have to wait for gate information.
