    Hello,

We have exciting news to share!

Your membership shows you have not yet deposited your week with RCI to exchange. We’d like to help simplify this process, so you can focus on your vacation planning. A “place holder” week has been added to your RCI account to represent your 2018 or 2019 deposit. You may use this week to request an exchange today by logging into your RCI.com account! If you prefer, you may also reach one of our Vacation Guides at 1-800-338-7777 to assist with your vacation planning.

Once your exchange vacation is held or confirmed, you will be contacted by one of our Deposit Concierge specialists to personally assist you with depositing your week and finalizing the transaction on your actual deposit.

We hope you’re as excited as we are to send you on your next vacation!

    Happy Exchanging!

    Your RCI Team

I was wondering if they would do anything to retain a customer. I haven't made a deposit in over 3 years. I am waiting for something tangible like an exchange discount, free OGS, or reinstating my TPU's for free but this will be a fun experiment. Btw the placeholder is 30 TPU's - nothing that actually corresponds with my owned weeks, but it is fewer TPU's than any of my weeks.

I wonder if they will offer this to me? I have 1 TPU in my account. All other points are being used for exchanges.

You still have to deposit a week - this is just a clever way to encourage you to do it:

True, but it also gives one the equivalent of a (30 tpu) request-first search. One interesting thing you can do with that: get a discounted last-minute (<3 weeks or so) Hawaii exchange. Have a backup and make your flights. If something comes through that you like, you can deposit and confirm. If not? You keep your week, no harm no foul.

I'm sure there are other potential interesting strategies...

It's a good option - I was just saying that it's not a freebie or an AC.

Oh I understand, I just want to see how much they will continue to sweeten the deal. Of course, I doubt that I will deposit anything.

RCI hunting for more business? I have been receiving emails from them offering discounts on the Trade Fee.

If they weren’t losing customers I believe they wouldn’t offer this. You can only go so high with membership fees, trade fees, resorts fees. At some point, different for each of us, the math doesn’t work and trading with RCI is just too expensive for what you get.
