Hi Ken, it looks like TS might work for you and your brood. You don't mention where you live, so I'll assume it's Eastern US. Since you want to take short vacays, you will want to look at a system that allows this, without penalties. Most TSs are geared to 7 might stays, and charge extra 'housekeeping' for short stays. For instance, with Wyndham, you get one housekeeping credit per year for each customary amount of points for one week's stay. More stays, you have to pay.

I saw your other post looking for a giveaway. That's not really what that forum is for. It's for the odd extra night, hospitality for travelers. To solicit a freebie, or low cost purchase, look in the Marketplace, or troll eBay. Be careful, though, even free, some TSs are overpriced. Especially, Westgate. Avoid them at all cost.

We always suggest newbies rent a few times, in different systems, to be able to tell the differences. And frankly, at todays MF prices, renting is not a bad way to go permanently. No buy-in cost, and no long term commitmen, and no exit hassle.

Thank you for the clarification for my other post.

Yes we live in Ohio,

Currently now Wyndham gave me access to their Discovery program $120 a month for 2 years 300k points for a Max of 3 reservations. I enjoy the concept I just don't want to shell 30k for 300k points and be stuck with aa hig MF.

So would you suggest buying smaller contracts to get 300k while maintaining a low MF?

Also is there a home resort for WCA?

You may want to ask resort system (Wyndham in this case) specific questions in that system's forum. You'll get the answers you seek. Many who are familiar with their own ins and outs don't pay much attention to the general newbies forums. And, I don't own Wyndham.
