Hi

I was wondering if anyone owns one of these timeshares? If so if they have any advice as I was considering purchasing one. We live in Europe so we would be looking to use their European options.

Thanks

Tanya

Hi Tanya,

I do. Biennial odd year that I bought as a re-sale through Redweek. We are in the states, and have gone to Mexico, Bahamas, and the DR. The contracts are long (fifty years), but you can accelerate to use one week per year.

I know it is more expensive to travel in Europe, but I think you'd probably like it. We save so much money on every trip by being Club Melia members.

Good luck!

Hi thanks for that.

do what is it you own? Points? Do you get a 2/3 bed unit? For one week every other week?
What is your maintence fee.
Can you use it in Melia hotels around the world?
How much is your week?
Thanks
Tanya

We have a biennial odd year (38,000 points, platinum) contract. We get a Junior Suite for a week and sometimes a Master Suite. Our maintenance fee is $916, but I saved 10% this year by paying a bit early. You only pay during your use year. If you’re staying at a resort that is mandatory all-inclusive, you pay that when you get to the resort, and it’s generally around $1500 - $1600 per couple for the week. Yes, you may use your points at any Melia in the world, but European resorts use more points that the other resorts.

Is there a points chart anywhere for their resorts? I have been looking and can’t find one. Also, is the Bahamas one still part of their resorts.

Hi thanks for that. This may not be suitable as there are 6 of us in my family so we need a 2/3 bedroom (sleep 6) type accommodation. I don’t think it would be enough points for us to travel.
