The was a really nasty show on CBC - W5 in Canada a few weeks ago called "Narco Maya", that claimed there was a cartel drug war going on in Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Has anyone experience any scary issue there recently or seen any problems? I did not see any warnings on the Canadian or US Government Travel Advisory for the area when I looked right after we had seen the show.
