Marriott Ocean Pointe?

We arrived yesterday. This was completely impulsive after watching the webcam.

Resort itself is in great condition. Nice to see the Cobia pool has white lights again instead of red. I know it was for the turtles but the red was creepy. There were other options besides going red.

It’s was raining when we got here but cleared up in time to visit the beach before dinner. Warm and sunny now. The daily storm went through while we were having lunch and free concert at the mall. We recommend Cooper’s Hawk at the mall.

Well make a point to visit our favorite Mexican restaurant that’s within walking distance, Guakamoles.

The 4th is our anniversary. Another reason to take an impulsive trip.

Thank you. Riviera Beach is supposed to have fireworks at the marina. We should be able to see them from this side of the intercostal.

Well make a point to visit our favorite Mexican restaurant that’s within walking distance, Guakamoles.

When I'm in the US I tend to eat Mexican because I've worked out, over a decade, that it's usually the best food to eat in the US (provided it's owned, run and cooked by Mexicans). I had a really good experience the first time we ate at Guakamoles however the second experience was in complete contrast and we never returned. The biggest problem was a particular staff member so it's not a fair respresentation of the restaurant itself as she was a server, not an owner, manager or cook but it was enough to give us reason to take our custom elswhere. Unfortunately there's not a lot of choice within walking distance so I'd like to think that our negative experience was not typical. If we do return to Florida (unlikely as we've been four times before and there's nothing drawing us back) then Ocean Pointe has been my favourite of the Floridian resorts we've stayed at and would likely be the one we'd return to.
