I have a II exchange into MFC for Thanksgiving 2018. Does anyone have any good updates on the status of this resort since the hurricanes??

MFC is scheduled to re-open Feb 16th, if replacement elevators can be installed by then. That is a big if. The neighboring Reef will be closed for an at least a year.

The resort should be in pretty good shape by Nov 2018 unless another hurricane comes thru this year. As the earlier poster stated, the resort is scheduled to reopen 2/16 so we should start seeing posts on the actual conditions in a month. Two elevators are out - the pool/cafe one and the Virgin Gorda building elevator. The latter building can not be opened until the elevator if fixed. The pool/cafe elevator is supposed to be fixed prior to the resort being opened. My understanding is that the combined 2017 hurricanes destroyed both elevators and the entire mechanisms in both had to be replaced. We are also planning to be there in November.

The resort has a Facebook page where they post updates and will also answer PMs.

They are booking MVC point stays as of mid March and weeks in April are available for exchange on II.
