WE are currently staying at the Hyatt Highlands...at check in the “timeshare” concierge suggested we go to an “owners update” becuase he said he “heard” that the point structure is changing....any day check in, etc. Sounds a lot like when Marriott incorporated the point struction. WE weren’t going to do a presentation this time (last time it was sorta a bit high pressure)...but sounds like the “program” is changing?

I haven’t seen anything on their website.

Anybody else heard anything?

The front desk guy might be thinking of the new HPP (Point Program) vs the HRC deed owners?

If you decide to go, please let us know if you find out anything interesting.

Does the HPP (point program) allow any day check in? Just curious since we own a deeded week.

Not for your deeded week if you use it but if you exchange and it is available yes. There are still some resorts not in the program though.

Is that reflected on the WEb site? I thought I still only saw the normal check in days for the 2,3, 4, 5 days stays.

I hope that Hyatt adopts a few more things from the Marriott Model...the ability to bank & borrow!

There May not be any HPP inventory for the location / dates you are looking at.

HPP has bank and barrow, doubtful HRC will get it in order to help push deed holders into the HPP.

Thanks for the info. When Marriott started selling points, they allowed deeded owners the option to join the program at A one time price (depending on how many weeks you owned.). We’ve enjoyed that program. Dang!!! I was hoping they would do that here! :)

That is kind of what HPP is, but the join up price is ridiculously high compared with what Marriott initially charged their owners. Many folks will probably sign up if they bring the price to a realistic level.
