On what basis are you making this recommendation?

Bowman is a very capable consumer protection attorney. I believe this fellows situation is beyond the scope of a forum like this. This fellow says he has tried lawyers and no luck so I gave him a few lawyers to try.

In other words, I’m stressing he use a lawyer and these ones I know are good lawyers. They are not rescue companies.

It has been with the collection agency for at least 7 years, the activate it as a "new debt" every year on my credit report, add the new MF and interest. I've tried contacting the resort directly. The say it is "out of their hands" once it goes to collection. I've been trying to talk to them for years on the phone (the collection agency) I have had other representatives call them. They are bullies, difficult and horrible to deal with. The time shares are at two different companies, one is deeded one is not. I don't understand all this, I was left with the mess and I'm trying to do the "right thing". I appreciate all the feedback here but I am lost.

The same collection agency? They usually get paid if they collect or they buy the debt and try to collect. It doesn’t seem right that the collection agency is pursuing you for a homeowners association for 7 years and that the association did not try to foreclose or sue you. Two different places you own timeshares and you have the same collection agency? You say you were left with this mess, did you inherit them?

Ok, let’s just leave it as I recommend he consult a lawyer of his choosing on his dilemma as his question is beyond our scope here.
