I placed a bid on eBay for a HGVC timeshare and have been working with Doug Menjivar from Legacy Adventures. So far he's been great when it comes to communication as well as addressing any concerns.

Will provide another update once I hear back as he's sending the offer to Hilton.

Ok here's an update:
Received a call from Doug last week stating Hilton waived ROFR and paperwork has been sent. Hilton took pretty much close to the 30 days.

Does anyone know what the next steps look like?

I'm also a first time buyer and purchasing a resale. My rofr has been in for only a week now. Has anything else happened with your contract? Have you completed closing and received your hvc member number?

I spoke with Doug last week and everything has been sent to Hilton. Said it could take 30 or so days for them to get back.

Will update once I hear anything.

Here's a breakdown of the timeline from initial offer to HGVC welcome email. Doug and team at Legacy Adventures were amazing through the process.

Sept 25 Offer sent to Doug and he sent me the agreement paperwork.
Sept 27 Purchase agreement completed and sent in.
Oct 2 Doug sent documents to HGVC.
Oct 22 Received a call from HGV resales asking how much I paid. I thought that was super weird and I didn't disclose any info.
Nov 2 Received info that HGVC waived ROFR.
Nov 28 Email from Hilton in regards to Honors enrollment.
Nov 29 Welcome email from
HGVC.

Didn't want to waste any time so 6 nights booked in Oahu for April 2019!!!
