Sat down for our owner's update. Here's what we currently own:

WLM 2BR LO Floating EOY
WPORV 2BR LO Floating EOY
(both developer purchases - I know, I know! If only...)
Puts us at 148k SOs per year
We're in our 10th year of SPG Platinum and will be lifetime by the end of Dec 2018 OR will reach Marriott's requirements by 2020 (according to wife's business travel)

The only benefit we see is being able to convert all of our options every year... But we have to pay $23k difference after trading in our WPORV and increase our maintenance fee $300/year.

The 111,000 SOs convert into ~256,000 SPG Points.

Just in Maintenance Fees alone --> 256k/$2,100 = $121.91 a SPG Point.... Am I calculating that correctly?

The calculation would be 121.91 points per $1.

or $2100/256,000=$0.0082 per starpoint. Of course you need to figure in the up front costs also. For $23,000 plus maintenance fee every year, you can buy a lot of hotel stays with the saved cash.

Thank you. I didn’t think it looked correct. Wanted to show my wife... also mentioned the fact it didn’t include the “upfront fee.” SOs were 162k, not 111k as noted above.

I told him the competition was a boat dock.... The boat dock won
