Is this a good European trader?

Hi everyone, i have been looking at some European timeshares. It looks like there are some decent options for example there is an
annual 2 BEDROOM/FLOAT WEEK MARRIOTT'S CLUB SON ANTEM BALEARIC ISLANDS

Gold/Holiday Float Week 23
Floats Weeks 7-8, 21-23, 27-28, 41-44, 51-52 as available

The MFs are very reasonable for a 2 bdr, $1074 annual

We would probably use it every 3-4 years.

Do you think that this (or other European resorts) would be a good trader? I would like to hear the prospective of TUGgers that own European resorts as well as people who do not own such resorts but may be interested to exchange. We are only interested to exchange with Marriott, Vistana and Hyatt resorts.

Thanks a lot, Happy Mother's Day!

Just a thought, if you were to look for one, should you not be looking for a higher season, unless Gold season weeks are when you want to travel? Higher season comes with higher trading power.

We own a couple of gold holiday weeks at Son Antem and they are good traders from our limited experience as like most European Marriott owners we prefer to occupy our weeks so trades into the resorts can be difficult. Gold holiday covers the Easter, Summer half term, Autumn half term and Christmas school holidays. Platinum covers the Summer holidays.

In your experience, is easy to book on a floating schedule at that resort? Of the gold weeks we would want 27-28 but i figure everyone may try to book one of those.

Be prepared to book early, popular weeks go fast. Fortunately we can book 13 months out. Summer weeks are always popular, I haven't been during July because of school commitments so my experience has only been of booking during school holidays.
