Hi New Owner here!

Can someone shed some light on how the AC works? I am interested in using one that is about to expire in April 2018 for Riviera Maya, MX. I was just there but I exchanged my week to go.

I see that I have a AC available for the same resort, but it only says "exchange". Does this mean that by selecting the resort I will forfeit our ownership week in December 2018 to Orlando?

Interval peeps are not very helpful!

Hi Vanessa,

No, your AC will not result in the forfeiture of your ownership week in Orlando unless you specifically select that week for exchange. When you click on the Exchange option, you will see a page entitled "My Units". On that page you should also see any AC's that II has given to you. Those are the AC's you should click on--not your separate Vistana Villages Orlando property.

If you are really using the Accommodation Certificate, you are not forgoing anything. This is a freebie. When you find a resort that you want to exchange into using the AC, it will ask you to pay a fee, using in the range of $250 to $350.
