I am looking to make my first deposit into Interval soon. We own 2BR platinum week at Kierland. If I want to deposit the smaller side of the lock off, which one do I select 1BEDA (first option) or 1BEDB? Thanks in advance for your help!

Why would you deposit a Platinum week in II? That’s worth so much more as a StarOption trader than what you’ll likely receive in exchange in II.

The smaller 1-BR trades as a 1-BR unit, even though it has 67,100 SO assigned to it. For example, we exchanged the smaller 1-BR and got a 1-BR at WKORVN, rather than a studio for this summer. However, other times, we use the SO to extend our stays, rather than trading with II. CJ

Yes, of course. But, is it really worth the risk of not getting the exact week you want and pay the II fees for just an extra day? I don’t think so.

On the other hand, you could exchange that small 1-bed and get a 2-bed unit in Hawaii on occasion. In that case it would certainly be worthwhile. But, you’ll get the same results with SDO or other Vistana resorts, which is why it makes little sense to me to exchange WKV. The value within the network is too great.

I think the only exception would be an occasional use to go elsewhere when you only own WKV and don’t need another week. We don’t know the OPs intentions so we’re just guessing.

What if you want to go somewhere where there are no Vistana properties? Perhaps trying to exchange into a Marriott in Aruba? That would still be a worthwhile exchange.

Aint nothing wrong with depositing into II. I deposit my "high" value weeks into II even though I can use internal booking systems. I no longer own pure traders and all that I now own can be used for internal booking but II can offer greater value and variety. Due to the devaluation in Bonvoy points, I no longer exchange my excess weeks for hotel points. I usually put forth travel plans for the next couple of years and balance our stays between internal reservations and II deposits. For the first time ever, recently I also rented out 2 of our weeks. I don't have the stomach and patience for renting and will continue to do so in a limited manner in the future but it sure helps to cover maintenance fees plus some.

I am looking to deposit my 2 bd. WKV Platinum into II for the first time. Unfortunately, we had to cancel a reservation last month and are now limited on those SOs. Is it better to deposit the entire 2 bd. in one transaction, or is it better to deposit two 1 bdrms? Is there a difference in trade power? I'm finding this a bit confusing. I appreciate any info you can give me.

I also replied in a separate post that you created. Individually as 1BR it has very strong trade power. It all depends on where you want to go. If you want a holiday ski week in a top resort, then someone else who has a 2BR WKV may trump you. I always lock off my weeks.
