I noticed a lot of SA resorts advertise safaris but look like they're 2 hours or more from a preserve. Beautiful places but more like traditional resorts. Mabalingwe seems to actually offer safaris and advertise that you can see viewing from your actual room. I am surprised that there is availability this July (2017). However, the only reviews I see are very old. The website looks updated but I want to be absolutely sure before I travel half way around the world. Anyone have any current info on this resort and is this a place that will keep an 18 year old girl interested for a whole week? Also - what airport services this resort?

I did look into Kruger, but there is nothing available.

After a little research on Trip Advisor, it seems that reviews vary greatly and it depends on the complex you stay in. Does anyone know which complex is the timeshare? Also, there is mention of driving within the resort - are these rental cars for a fee and can it be rented daily or are they loaned out for free? Can we get around the resort without a car?

You would fly into Jo'burg and travel north on highway 1. You will be better off renting a car at the airport when you arrive.

Also be aware, if someone gives you directions and refers to "robots", that is what we in the States call traffic signals or traffic lights.
