I logged into II and I found 2 "resort accommodations certificates" for 3 bedroom units...does anyone know/why someone would get these? And is there a catch to using them?

We all get these ACs in our II accounts. You have to pay a fee to book, after selecting a resort that you want from the results, it will tell you the cost to book, usually anything from about $289 to $309. It is a little cheaper than a getaway.

Interval puts them in II members' accounts from time to time. They are a way to entice members to purchase excess inventory at a discount. There is a "redemption fee", which you can find if you select an area, then a resort, and go through the process. I currently have three in my account, with the following prices: $229, $289, & $299.

If you are a platinum II member sometimes the getaways are less expensive than the cert redemption fee. Availability is usually quite limited especially if you are looking to travel during the summer. It usually is similar or slightly more limited than the getaways that are less than $375.
