II: Choose two versus XYZ

I’m trying to understand options with II’s Choose 2. Spoke with a customer service rep but she was no help. It seems more restricted than the old XYZ options. Can anyone explain it?

It is the new name/version of XYZ. Essentially the same rules, but the options are much more restrictive. If you can find something you are interested in on the grid, go for it. Much, if not all, of the 'good' (or even borderline) stuff is now accessed via the AC's that II has been handing out. Choose 2 isn't very useful to me anymore.

And the issue is their choose 2 grid only goes out for 3 months and only shows areas....not resorts, so you have to call.

FYI--A lot of times the II customer service reps can see further out than 3 months.. You have to call and ask, which is too much hassle for me on most days. When I'm looking for something specific I make the effort. However, I've never found anything I needed through the choose 2 program.

I personally don't like Choose 2 because now Marriott's and Westin are excluded from the list. Never could find anything useful from it. I wish they would apply the old XYZ rules to choose 2.
