I have read reports by some people that they got an exchange match with Interval but did not receive an email confirmation. I would like to report that this happened to me - - again - - this morning (Sunday at noon). But, knowing that this has been an outstanding system issue for II, I make a point of checking in My History every morning and that is how I found that one of my pending requests apparently got matched. (The match date is today, Sunday, June 30). Unfortunately, it overlaps a non-cancellable Getaway and I have to cancel the otherwise good exchange match. So I need to cancel the exchange but keep the request open.
So I contacted interval via their email link and received a quick acknowledgment of the email. That was nice.
But then I got an email saying:
"I've notated the exception to the 24 hour courtesy period as our offices
are closed on Sundays. The note includes that I've responded to your
reply advising that you reach out to a Travel Specialist to Decline the
Match, and cancel the Pending Request.
"Please keep in mind, this note also includes that the verification must
be received no later than Monday, July 1, 2019. The time that this
consideration will expire is 11:00 am EST."
Here is where I get some heart burn. I live on the West Coast. So, if I attempt to cancel the exchange I need to start that action a bit before ii's "deadline" - - say an hour or more. That means that I need to be on the phone at 7 am. (10 am EST). Not my favorite time to get up as I am retired. Also, the email reference to 11 am EST confuses me. I know that Phoenix is permanently on standard time, but I don't think that Florida is. I'm still trying to figure out if II is still on EST or E-DST (that is, Standard time or Daylight Savings time).
I replied to the person via email to add a few hours to her deadline. We'll see what happens.
